November 1st is here, and with the air turning colder and the final month of the year approaching, I find myself looking back at the journey of The Night Chronicles.
From Claimed By Night to the Eve of Book 3
When I first began writing Claimed By Night, I didn’t know exactly where the path would lead. I only knew I had a story to tell about Liz, the shadows, and the magic hidden within Lunaria. Seeing the first two books out in the wild has been a surreal experience, but looking at the map of where we’ve been makes the destination even sweeter.
The Series So Far
The Beginning: We started with the introduction of Liz, a nineteen-year-old bartender whose life shifted in ways she never expected.
The Growth: As the story unfolded through the first two books, I’ve had the chance to push my characters through fire, forcing them to evolve in ways that surprised even me.
The Horizon: Everything written so far has been building toward the events in Book 3, which is officially launching this December!
Why November Matters
November feels like a bridge. It is a time for reflection—looking at the foundation laid in the first two books—while also preparing for the storm that is coming in Book 3. The magic of Lunaria is becoming more complex, the stakes are higher, and I cannot wait for you all to see the threads finally begin to weave together.
A Question for You
For those of you who have been with me since the start of The Night Chronicles: what was the moment in Book 1 or 2 that made you realize this world was something you wanted to keep exploring? I’d love to hear your favorite memories from the series so far!
Stay dark,
June Sky
